Sira is a small Canadian gifting studio. We collect as little as possible, and we treat what you share with us the way we treat the stories inside our boxes — with care.

What we collect

When you use Create a Gift, we collect the answers you choose (who the gift is for, the occasion, budget, contents), the story you write, and your email address.

Why we collect it

Your email and answers are used for one purpose: to arrange your gift and write back to you about it. This is the communication necessary to fulfill what you asked of us.

We will only ever send you news, collections, or anything promotional if you expressly ticked the consent box saying we may — and every such email will include a working unsubscribe that we honour promptly. Withdrawing consent never affects your gift.

Who sees it

Your story goes to Sira and is delivered by Resend, the email service we use to send mail (their servers are located in the United States, so your information may be processed there). We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone else, ever.

How long we keep it

We keep gift stories and order correspondence for as long as needed to serve you and meet legal record-keeping obligations, then delete them.

Your choices

You may ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — and you may withdraw marketing consent at any time. Write to us and we will take care of it.
